Memories, memories...
November 20, 1981: I am participating in my first festival and I am looking forward to the screening of my first slideshow.
Foolishly, the organizers limited the duration of the montages to 20 minutes.
So I managed to create a 19-minute and 47-second montage.
But I could have thrilled my audience for an hour (or even two) with all my lovely slides.
I am certain it will appear in the Awards since I made it myself. And I patiently eliminated all its flaws.
It recounts my family adventures in a motorhome in Morocco, and I came up with a brilliant title for it: 'Once Upon a Time in the Oued'.
Yes! It will be on the Winner's List!
It might even get the First Prize!
My diaporama is so beautiful...
That evening I discovered, at my own expense: Years1990: It then seems essential to me to specify the kind of slideshow I like to do: The Short Creative Diaporama. 1998: Creation of my personal website'« Le Site du Diaporama Créatif Court » February 2002: I am starting to make freely downloadable on this “DCC Site” excerpts of my slideshows that I digitize thanks to a small software practically unknown in France and of an execrable user-friendliness
Until 2003 le Site du DCcn will be the only French site to promote the emerging digital slideshow. Early 2005: Laure Gigou, Michèle and Michel Paret join me. Let them be thanked here for having helped transform a personal site into what 'Le Site du DCcn' has become...
I am proud, really very proud, that my personal website has helped ensure the continuity of a heritage of more than half a century.. |
